Rebecca Christel was born and raised on Long Island, New York. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from High Point University, North Carolina in 2013. After graduation, she spent some time working in the ICU as a technician at a VCA Referral and Emergency Animal Hospital in New York. Dr. Christel then attended vet school at Ross University on the island of St. Kitts and Nevis along with Dr. Johnson. Her clinical year was completed at Texas A&M University. The following year, Rebecca completed a one year rotating internship at Park Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Christel‘s interests include Small Animal Medicine, preventative medicine, and neonatal medicine and is looking to acquire a certification in veterinary chiropractics. Rebecca’s favorite part about her job is that no two cases are exactly the same. Not only is there the chance to treat and help the animal, but also a chance to learn from each and every patient along the way. During her free time, Rebecca enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, and exploring new outdoor places with her island pup, Mildred.
